  The Power of Standing Up for Yourself is an engaging panel discussion hosted by the UW-Oshkosh Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Club in collaboration with the UW-Oshkosh Women in Business Club. The event will feature accomplished business professionals who will share their experiences and insights on advocating for yourself in the workplace. Panelists will explore key topics such as negotiating salaries and benefits, understanding and articulating your professional worth, and confidently owning your skills, accomplishments, and voice in professional settings. Through honest conversation, real-life examples, and practical advice, attendees will gain actionable strategies to navigate challenging workplace situations, build confidence in self-advocacy, and feel empowered as they prepare to enter and grow within their careers.

  This program has been pre-approved for 1 SHRM and HRCI credit.

She will focus on 3 areas: word smithing and drafting policies, finding answers through research and brainstorming, and using the multi-model aspect of HR to analyze data. Best practices around risk, compliance, and intellectual property will be included in this hands-on workshop.
